On 28 June 2014, the newspaper Periòdic d’Ontinyent reaches the publication of its 1,000th issue. For this edition, I am commissioned to create two illustrations: the first, intended for the cover, depicts a view of the city in which past, present and future are brought together through three bridges; the second is a short one-page story that revisits the spirit of Vosté perdone, featuring caricatures of contemporary politicians alongside the familiar characters “cabolos” from the old comic strips.
