On the 20th, the Almogàvars carnival group from Ontinyent unveiled the card game ‘Desperta’, comprising 56 cards and a total of 57 illustrations depicting characters, places and icons from both the group itself and Ontinyent and its Moors and Christians festival, blending tradition and culture. Some of these are shown on this page.
The main consideration when creating this project was that the images would be displayed on the cards in a very small size. For this reason, they had to be designed in a very simple style, avoiding excessive detail.
The game will be distributed to primary school pupils in local schools and at the Vall Blanca special needs centre over the coming weeks, with the possibility of purchasing it via social media in the future.
