“A famous flute player has disappeared from his own home. Follow the clues to find him”
This is an illustration for a game map that accompanies the 2nd Team Technique Competition for flute classes at the Sebastián Durón Professional Conservatory of Music in Guadalajara. The competition, developed by my sister Carme for her classes, aims to instil in students the values of effort, perseverance and teamwork.
The game consists of a board and character tokens that will give clues to each team, which will have to find the missing flute player. Each area of the house represents a different challenge, designed to motivate students to work hard and enjoy learning music while collaborating with their teammates and trying to beat the other teams. The illustration aims to make the game and music seem like a fun and stimulating experience.
The project shows how creativity can accompany education, encouraging students to associate effort and practice with the fun and satisfaction of working together towards a common goal.
